Yes, I know it's late and no, I don't normally celebrate Valentines Day..

but this year my almost-husband surprised me with the best gift ever! A NEW SET OF CLIPPERS!

Now I know that doesn't sound very exciting to most but wait until you see the work of art that I was holding in my hand.

I know! An unknown make (or at least it is to me), a highly glossed box that just screams "cheap" and a product photo that looks, quite frankly like I took it with my mobile phone. Yeah, my heart sank too. I envisioned a plastic handle, a weak motor and a battery that would need to be on charge for a week so I could get 5 minutes use.

So I was pleasently surprised when I slid the glossy sleeve off and found a very sturdy black box with gold lettering. It was at this point, I noticed the weight of the box. It wasn't a large box, I mean I could comfortably hold it in one hand but there was more weight to it than what I expected.

I opened the box and saw the most beautiful (trust me my pics really don't do it justice) antique looking, display worthy item I have ever held in my hands. The metal is so cold to the touch and the expossed mechanism adding to it's beauty.

I decided in that instant, that even if the cut was bad I would have them on display instead. I couldn't stop looking at them. Then came the time, could they cut "It"? And by "It" I mean the 3 weeks growth that was currently sat on my noggin.

I plugged them in to charge, they came with a usb charging cable so as long as you have a usb plug you are good to go.

As soon as that little light went green, no hair was safe!

First I attacked my amost-hubby's beard and put some shape into it. It worked like an absolute dream, nice close cut and straight lines. I was on a shaving mission I wanted to shave anything and everything ... hmmmm well maybe not everything but you get the point these clippers are amazing so now its time.

The light is still green so we have juice. The mirror is in position. And my head needs shaving! Anyone who has hair does not understand the physical need to shave again once it hits a certain regrowth stage. I suppose I could say neeeeeeeeed, but it is this unrelenting urge to just grab whatever is closest to you and get rid of the hair!

I turn the clippers on and instantly hear a tattoo machine start up, I love that noise. I go for the side of my head first and just like a hot knife through butter the blades made light work of the fuzz. The blades demolished every hair it tackled. For the first time in 6 years I have had a really enjoyable shave. The almost-huby even got in on it and shaved the rest of my head for me.

These are by far the best clippers I have ever owned and I can't wait until shave day to use them again.
