Dry Shaving Zero Guard

Today was shave day, a long over due shave day. It has been 4 long days since the last shave and that too was a dry shave. As you can imagine I was at 'fuzzy cactus' stage. It not longer felt like dragging my hand over sandpaper, it had gone past the spikey velco stage and reached fully bendable, soft fuzz.

Even if I had decided on a wet shave, I was still going to have to dry shave this sucker first.

There was only one set of clippers in mind for taking on this task The Bronze Barber. Yes, he has the capability to get through this fuzz and get me close enough to the skin, where I will only have to shave against the grain if I wet shave it.

And he didn't disappoint! Two passes is all it took to have a perfect one day stubble feel. That's fine for me I'm feeling in a lazy mood so, no wet shave today.

Right next mission clean off the scalp!

First off a good, quality sugar scrub is a must. I have tried a couple of different makes but do end up always going back to The Body Shop for their scrubs. The fragrances are amazing, they leave you feeling fresh and ready to go. I have seen recipes for sugar scrubs on line so I will be having a go at making some to see easy it is and if it's more cost effective.

Once I have rinsed my head from the sugar scrub, I use The Body Shop Seaweed gel wash all over my head and down on to my neck. I am prone to skin breakouts especially just in my hairline from having to blend my foundation further up and the seaweed range has been the only thing that I have found that has made a difference.

Last but by no means least, I rub tattoo aftercare all over. I know! but this tattoo aftercare is amazing. The lady that came up with this product was a qualified aromatherapist, nurse and natural health practitioner who decided to use her knowledge to blend a balm to help her tattoo heal. I use this balm on grazes, razor burn/rash, new tattoos, when I want to gauge up my expanders and I have even used it on my daughter when she was suffering with eczema. It is simply amazing.
